Academic Essentials
Let’s be real—you’re here to study (and crush it), so these tools are non-negotiable:
Laptop & Charger: You’ll need it for taking notes, writing papers, joining online classes, and logging into UFV platforms like myUFV, Brightspace and Blackboard.
Stationery: Notebooks, pens, highlighters, sticky notes, and anything else that helps you stay organized.
Backpack: Look for something comfortable, durable, and weatherproof (it will rain in Abbotsford).
Reusable Water Bottle & Travel Mug: Stay hydrated and cut down on waste.

Rain Jacket or Waterproof Coat

If You’re Living in Residence or Off-Campus Housing
Moving out on your own? Here’s what you’ll want to bring to make your space comfortable and functional:
Bedding: Twin XL sheets, comforter, pillows, and mattress protector.
Kitchen Items: Plates, bowls, utensils, mugs, dish soap, sponge, and maybe a kettle or toaster (Check with Residence Services first for what's allowed).
Laundry Supplies: Detergent, a laundry bag or basket, and dryer sheets.
Bathroom Stuff: Towels, toiletries, shower caddy, and flip-flops for shared bathrooms.
Cleaning Supplies: Wipes, all-purpose cleaner, and maybe a broom or handheld vacuum.
