How to register for the SUS Health & Dental Plan?
Now, how do you gain access to this plan? Am I automatically registered? Do I need to do anything to register myself? Is there a fee to be on the plan?
Most full-time students are automatically registered and are therefore automatically assessed the SUS Health & Dental fee of $195.59 starting in the fall. However, part-time students, students registered with the Centre for Accessibility Services taking six credits or less, and others in specific programs may need to opt into the plan manually!
Don't worry; it's easy!
You can opt-in by clicking this link during the Change-of-Coverage period at the start of the fall and winter semesters. You can also add dependants or your spouse to your plan during an active Change-of-Coverage Period by clicking here!
A fun fact for you, before the Fall 2022 semester, part-time students were charged a premium of almost $100 per year to opt into SUS Health & Dental coverage. Still, after working with Studentcare, we lowered this fee to match the full-time student rate of $195.59!
