SUS funds a diverse portfolio of awards and financial aid for students. Most awards and aid are administered through UFV Financial Aid & Awards, though with different categories and timelines.

Emergency Aid & Bursaries

Emergency Student Grants – available throughout the year for emergency and unexpected situations where funding is needed quickly, up to $1,000. Visit the UFV Financial Aid office to apply
Bursaries – available through the UFV Bursary application each semester for students in financial need

Annual UFV Awards Cycle

Leadership Award - $1,000 (appx.) annually to a student demonstrating leadership on and off campus
Endowment Scholarship - $750 (appx.) annually to a student with a GPA of 3.5 or greater.
Study Abroad Scholarship – 8 @ $500 annually to students who are participating on a UFV Study Abroad program in the coming year

Entrance Award

Premiere Entrance Scholarship - $10,000 annually to a student demonstrating excellence in school and community service, leadership, and a strong understanding of how they can contribute to the UFV community

Named Recognition Awards

The SUS Named Recognition Awards are given out to recognize the work of a nominated student leader, student volunteer, and club or association that has improved the student experience at UFV throughout the year.
The awards categories are:
- Kelly Chahal Volunteer of the Year Award
-Terry-Lynn Stone Club or Association of the Year Award
- Dr. Brian Minter Excellence in Leadership Award

Who to contact

There are UFV Financial Aid and Awards Offices on both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses that are open year-round.
Abbotsford Building B, Room 214 (the Student Services office, around the corner from OReg)
Chilliwack Building A, Room 1318 (right next to OReg, across from the Library main entrance)
